Paddy's Irish Pub and The West Street Hotel, Bar Harbor, Maine

For our next trip we are sending you to Maine for a stay at the West Street Hotel and good eats at Paddy' Irish Pub & Restaurant. The locals in Bar Harbor may not be happy with the development on the water front but for the rest of us who want to visit Tom Walsh and the team at Opal Collection have brought a new classy flavor to Bar Harbor.

Most of the rooms at The West Street Hotel provide you with a beautiful view of the harbor and they also have a private roof top infinity pool, wow! When you walk out the door you will see Paddy's Irish Pub to the right, I love Irish Pubs and this is as good as you will find. They have plenty of seating along the front of the hotel if you like to dine outside near the water.

Normally I almost never recommend a restaurant in a hotel but this is different. We saw the food everytime we left the hotel and it did looked amazing so we had to check it out.

You can see the entrance to Paddy's Below:

One of their adult beverages.

Smoked Seafood Chowder, delicious.

Corned Beef so tender you could cut it with a fork.

Sweet mother of god! The Stout Burger, A pretzel hamburger.

Here are a few suggestions for things to do in Bar Harbor.

Take a sailing trip on the Margaret Todd.

For shopaholics, check out the many boutiques in downtown Bar Harbor.

Head over to Mount Desert Ice Cream for dessert.
