Pagliuca's Italian Restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts

For our next drive we would like you to experience some great Italian food at Pagliuca's in Boston. Yes, there are many options in the North End but this is one of our favorites. We have been to Pagliuca's dozens of times over the past 10 years and have also checked out a bunch of other restaurants in the area. Joe, Freddie and staff all do a great job serving up mouth watering food.

Let me tell you about a little secret as told to me. Many years ago a guy named Mike came into the restaurant and asked for a hot antipasto that contained a little of that, a little of this and some of that. The server went to the kitchen and explained what Mike wanted and the chef happily obliged and the creation that is now known as the Mike's special was born. You won't find this on the menu...just ask for it by a name. I don't want to spoil the surprise and tell you what's in this dish only to say that it is a great start to your meal.

When you see the knife and fork below, you know that you're in the right place.

Their house Chianti is a great complement to your meal.

A wonderful cold antipasto with vegetables so fresh it tastes like they pulled them off the vine.

The Chicken Felix is my favorite dish and one I get every time we visit. It has a sauce with a strong salty lemon flavor and so good you will drink it up with your spoon.

My wife ordered her usual, the Chicken Campagna that contains tender chicken along with potatoes, roasted red peppers and onions.

Here are a few suggestions on things to do in the area:

For something sweet head over to Bova’s or the Modern.

The New England Aquarium is a short walk and fun for all ages.

Click on the map below to find out his far it is from where you live to Pagliuca's.
